10-WEEK SEASON STARTS IN FEBRUARY AND CONCLUDES WITH AZCFL CHAMPIONSHIP IN MAY
MESA, Ariz. – Legacy Sports USA announced today a new partnership with the Arizona Cactus Football League, agreeing to host all of its football games for the 2022 season at Legacy Sports Park, a 320-acre, multi-use family sports and entertainment complex that is set to open in January of 2022.
The Arizona Cactus Football League (AZCFL) organization was established in 2019 and is a professional minor league football league that serves the entire state of Arizona. The league features 17 teams and is comprised of two conferences, and plays a 10-week season in the spring that culminates with the Championship game in May. The AZCFL recently wrapped up its 2021 campaign with the South Phoenix Runnin’ Rebel’s finishing an undefeated season by beating the AZ Spartans in the AZCFL Championship.
“Our goal when we started the Cactus Football League was to be the best there is at this level, and we feel partnering with Legacy Sports Park is the next step in helping to achieve those goals,” said Matt Archer, Commissioner of Cactus Football League. “We are excited to work with the Legacy team to bring a high-level of adult football to the Valley. The AZCFL is a developmental adult football league that was established for those looking to continue their professional football careers. The league has grown immensely in just three years, starting with 500 players and 11 teams, to now more than 1,000 players and a total of 17 teams. The 10-week season will kick off on Feb. 12 and will feature three games every Saturday at Legacy Sports Park, leading up to the AZCFL Championship game in May. All games will be played at Legacy Sports Park’s 5,000 seat multi-use stadium.

Legacy Sports Park is a privately owned, 320-acre multi-use family sports and entertainment complex in Mesa, Ariz., currently under construction with plans to officially open to the public in January of 2022.
