DANCE PROGRAMMING AT LEGACY SPORTS PARK WILL BE FOR VARIOUS AGE GROUPS, PLUS RECREATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE TEAMS
MESA, Ariz. – Legacy Sports USA announced today it has signed an agreement to partner with Club Dance, a nationally-recognized dance studio in Mesa, making Legacy Sports Park the new home for Club Dance starting in 2022.
Legacy Sports Park will manage and operate Club Dance powered by Legacy Sports USA at its state-of-the-art facility and will be headed by Club Studio owner and new Director of Dance Kelli Wilkins.
Wilkins founded Club Dance Studio in 2007, which aims to provide world-class dance training and an elite level of competitive experiences for her students. Blending both the top technical training she teaches and a positive environment that focuses on responsibility and teamwork, Wilkins’ studio has been nationally recognized, as her teams have won numerous state and national championships. Club Dance offers numerous classes like Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Ballroom and Acro to boys and girls age two and up, and features classics from the very basics, to combo classes and its pre-professional program.
“Kelli is recognized as one of the best dance studio operators in the nation. She has sent more dancers to Dancing with Stars and professional dance studios than anyone on the west coast,” said Brett Miller, President of Legacy Sports USA. “She now has the ability to run her own Dance Competitions for soloist and dance groups for all ages multiple times a year. We look forward to watching that growth at Legacy Sports Park.”
Professionally trained in all genres of dance, Wilkins has been enamored with the sport since a young age and strives to give back through teaching. She frequently travels to conventions across the country to remain on the cutting edge of dance.
“I am thrilled to be the Director of Dance for Legacy Sports,” Wilkins said. “I have such a love and dedication for the sport and I’m so excited to be able to direct that passion toward my students by providing exceptional technical training in a positive environment that focuses on the life skills of responsibility and teamwork.”
Club Dance will hold more than 130 classes a week for all ages and levels of dance. Classes will range from Mommy and Me classes for Legacy’s tiniest dancers to ballet for athletes as well as higher level technique classes.
For elite dancers, Club Dance will host workshops that include 48 in AZ as well as a Level Up Pom Recruitment workshop. Club Dance will also be hosting competitive events that include the Legends Group and Legends Solo Dance Competitions. Legends will also host an annual Pom Competition in February.
