Dan grew up in the hotbed of lacrosse in Upstate New York. He stayed local and attended Syracuse University where he played defense and won three D1 NCAA National Championships while playing on one of the most dominant teams in the history of the game in 1990. Dan’s passions for the game never stopped and he continues to play in tournaments to this day! While he is a bit slower now than back then, he has poured his energies into coaching, reffing, running tournaments, camps and events. Dan is a certified college men’s lacrosse official and is the assigner for the ULAX men’s league in Az. He started coaching the Desert Vista High School boys lacrosse program in 2008 and was voted coach of the year in 2009 and 2014. His team won the state championship in 2014 and 2015 and he has produced dozens of NCAA players. He has been assisting the administration of the Az Lacrosse League for 15 years and is currently the President of the high school league. Dan started the charity lacrosse tournament Lax4Life in 2008 and is President of the non-profit charity that donates to Phoenix Children’s Hospital each year. His club program, Az Hot Sauce Lacrosse, has been a staple in the East Valley for boys that strive to reach the next level and he is excited to partner with Legacy Sports USA to help the grow the game in Az and become the premier destination for lacrosse in the west! Dan’s son Connor (11) and daughter Lexi (15) are multi-sport athletes and they enjoy getaways to the beach and the mountains whenever possible.
