Director of Volleyball
Deitre Collins-Parker is a leader in the game with more than 30+ years of high level playing and coaching. She has been The Head Coach at 3 Division 1 programs-UNLV, Cornell University and San Diego State University. At SDSU, she led the Aztecs to their first ever Mountain West Championship. Deitre began her coaching career serving as an Assistant Coach for the USA at the NORCECA games in 1993, followed by Assistant Coaching for the USA at the Goodwill Games in 1994 and the World University games. She went on to be the Head Coach on three occasions of the USA Junior National Team.
As a player, Deitre was a Three time All-American at the University of Hawaii. She continued her volleyball career as a member of the USA National team from 1985-1992. Deitre was a starting middle blocker on the 1988 Olympic team and an alternate for the 1992 Olympic team. She went on to play professionally at the top level in Italy and France.
Collins-Parker is a 2009 Recipient of the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award and has been Inducted into the AVCA Hall of Fame, the University of Hawaii Circle of Champions, Antelope Valley High School and Southern California Hall of Fames. She was twice named Conference Coach of the Year and won 3 Ivy League championships at Cornell University. Deitre is two-time recipient of the Honda Broderick award and became the first Volleyball Player to win the prestigious Broderick Cup given to the nations Top Female Collegiate Athlete.
