Skylar is a main draw AVP Men’s Beach Volleyball athlete, FIVB world tour competitor, five-time NVL tournament winner and two-time NVL National Champion. His volleyball resume includes NVL awards for Best Setter, Best Defensive Player and Team of the Year, among many others. Skylar has competed with and among the most elite beach volleyball players in the world, both stateside and in exotic locations like the Cayman Islands, Iran and Australia. His passion is to coach, train and run pro, youth and adult events. Legacy is lucky to have Skylar at the helm of our Beach Volleyball program and we look forward to his tenure at the Park.
Heather and Allen Alexander are owners of The Sand Club, which offers beach volleyball leagues, tournaments and training for youth and adult players since 2007. In 2015, they expanded their dream by building Mesquite Beach and created a new standard for facilities in Arizona with 1000 tons of coastal beach sand for 4 courts and state of the art lighting. From the beginning, The Alexanders were hiring professional volleyball players to come out to Arizona for training and revitalizing the sport with the help of the community (forever grateful of the league players, parents and local clubs.) The Sand Club has hosted some of the biggest events in Arizona: Bud Light Lime Championships, college scrimmages with NCAA Champions, AVP America 4-Star events, AAU District Championships, BVNE College Showcases, P1440 Grand Slam weekends and even a Sand Slam (beach volleyball event) in the middle of Tempe Marketplace, just to name a few. The Alexanders now bring their “sandtastic experiences” to Legacy Sports USA.
